Day 3: Fruit, Veggies and Soup

Today I felt pretty good. I was able to eat as much fruit, veggies and soup as I wanted, minus potatoes. I only lost 1 lb and I attribute that to the starch intake. We shall see what tomorrow holds. I am optimistic that I will have lost 10 lbs by the time this diet is finished. Until next time,...

Well, Shoot.

Well, Shoot.

Here it is day 4 and I have been enjoying my soup and milk and bananas today. That is until this evening. I fell off the wagon, HARD. I ran today. I followed the diet today. And I ate pizza today. Yeah. There’s that. ๐Ÿ˜ So for the sake of keeping it real with you, I had to share. Weight lost today: 1 lb (which I will probably gain back tomorrow!) Total Weight Lost: 6 lbs   Until next time, Joy...

Day 1: Fruit and Soup

Day 1: Fruit and Soup

Day 1 was awesome, you guys! I had loads of energy, and I felt great. I wasn’t really hungry (more than normal) and I felt positive about continuing with the plan. Here are my beginning stats: Arms: 12 inches each Bust: 39 inches Chest: 33 inches Waist: 34.5 inches Hips: 41 inches Midway: 47.5 inches (around the largest area around my butt) Thighs/Legs: 26 inches each Today is Fruit and Soup day, so I was able to eat as much fruit (except bananas) and as much soup as I wanted. I really enjoy the flavor of the soup, so I do not mind eating it at all. I ate watermelon and almost 1 entire cantaloupe, and 2 oranges. It was encouraged to eat watermelon and cantaloupe (I am assuming because of the water content). The fruit helped to curb my sweet tooth and the...

A New Me

A New Me

I’ve been standing in my kitchen prepping a soup for a ten day diet that I am about to start, and I thought I would document my daily progress for all of you to see. Losing weight is SUPER frustrating. It can be discouraging. But, I want it to be inspiring and FUN! A few years ago, I used Young Living Supplements, exercise, and a clean eating plan to lose weight. It worked. Then I got lazy and I gained my weight back AND SOME. So, here we are. I start *fo real* tomorrow. Tonight, I will eat soup and pretend it is day Day 1. I guess technically I will have 1.5 days on the 1st day, just so you know how I am starting. Oh, and I am in a competition with my husband about who can lose the most in 10 days. It’s on like Donkey Kong. ๐Ÿ™‚ If you are curious about...

Exciting Things are Happening!

Exciting Things are Happening!

It’s convention week! EEEEKKKKK! I’m just a little bit excited, can you tell? This is the long awaited week every year where brand new products are unveiled. I CANNOT wait to see what is rolled out this week. I will make sure to post updates and exciting news as I get that information. You can keep up with live updates here on my Joyful Life page. Not only will there be new product announcements, but those that attend will get to tour the farms. I had this experience personally last fall, and it was something I will never forget. ย The majesty of the mountains and the serenity of the farm is not easy to describe, and pictures do not do it justice. ย  I am so happy for my teammates that will get to experience the thrill of being in Utah this week. It is...

4 Life Lessons My Kid (and I) Learned while Striking Out

4 Life Lessons My Kid (and I) Learned while Striking Out

We just wrapped up baseball season for my middle kiddle. He could not have been on a better team – fantastic coaches, sweet kids, and great parents. Our first experience with him playing was so wonderful. On our way to his last ballgame, he was reciting to us the 4 rules that his Coach taught the team this season: Listen Respect Hustle Be Tough As my son was telling us about them, I couldn’t help but think how perfectly they relate to ALL of life, not just baseball. It was a fleeting thought and one I planned to discuss with my hubby as we sat and watched the game. But, that talk never happened. We got caught up in the game and never had a chance (and let’s be real here – I just forgot). My boy struggled the last half of the season with...
